BLUEBERRY PICKING AT HARLOW FARM IN VERMONT

Summertime in New England can be pretty magical — especially as a child. Being a photographer, I often take photos for everyone else, but took this occasion to get some quality photos of my children to remember these beautiful days.

Right up the road from us sits a winding road leading to the top of a hill. Atop that hill sits a vast array of full, ripened sweet blueberry bushes. These bushes were loaded with huge, juicy and delicious berries. We were warned that there had been a bear up there recently strolling around snacking on the bushes, but that we should be just fine.

The girls grabbed their baskets, I grabbed my camera and we set out to pick berries in the heavy July humidity.

My girls usually shy away from the camera, but for whatever reason they were loving this photo opportunity. I often heard my oldest, Maisie yelling, “Mama! Take a picture of me like this!”.

What a special summer day <3
